Charan Misses It Once Again

Charan Misses It Once Again

Top heroes often talk of wanting an image make-over. But the final decision depends on a variety of elements from the film to the director to the story and of course the banner.

When Fidaa happened, Ram Charan was approched to play the lead, but he refused the film as it did not fit his image.

In fact, Shekhar Kammula wanted to cast Mahesh too in the film, but he politely refused the director.

When Kammula approached Charan, he did the same, but suggestted that the story would suit his cousin Varun Tej.

That shows that though he did like the story, he was not sure about the film's success.

Meanwhile, Fidaa has won over the hearts of family audiences and youth.

The film has managed a market share of Rs 35 crores till now and it is being said it is likely to close at Rs 40 crores.

This means, in terms of business, Fidaa has made twice the money invested.

After Orange, Charan took a long time to do a love story. In fact, he signed Rangasthalam 1985 for an image make-over.

However, it remains to be seen how the film will be received and how the  audiences will take his image change.

As for Fidaa, it is a confirmed hit and Ram Charan surely missed out on a good film.
