The upcoming elections for MAA (Movie Artists Association) have taken a political angle.
Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu, Hema, and Jeevitha have announced that they are filing nominations for the post of president of MAA.
As the fifth candidate, senior character actor CVL Narasimha Rao has joined the race. CVL Narasimha Rao is also a BJP leader.
Now senior BJP leader Vijayashanti is lending her support to him. Although Vijayashanthi is not a member of MAA, she issued a statement that CVL has her backing.
BJP has deployed its forces against Prakash Raj, a staunch critic of Prime Minister Modi.
The elections for MAA, so far, have been away from political parties. But with the entry of Prakash Raj, the color has changed.
BJP will also use Jeevitha Rajasekhar, who is also its party member, against Prakash Raj.
