Releasing on 25th August, 'Bedurulanka 2012' was described by Kartikeya Gummakonda as his first fun-oriented movie.
Based on the premise of Yugantham (end of the world), the Clax directorial features an ensemble cast of comedians.
The makers have said that the comedy entertainer was on the upswing at the box office over the weekend, getting more shows added.
On Day 3 (Sunday), the movie made more than what it did on the previous two days. It made Rs 2.77 crore. This highly encouraging figure was preceded by a good start on Friday (Rs 1.70 crore) and Saturday (Rs 1.90 crore).
Starring Neha Shetty as the female lead, Ajay Ghosh played the fraud alongside 'Jabardasth' Ram Prasad and Srikanth Ayyengar playing astrologer and a pastor, respectively.
Produced by Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni of Loukya Entertainments, the concept of Doomsday and the farce it leads to have been seen as the film's strengths by the audience.
Vennela Kishore, Satya, Goparaju Ramana and others are also part of the cast.
