As filmmaker S S Rajamouli’s iconic Baahubali saga gears up for a grand re-release as Baahubali: The Epic, fans have noticed something unusual - both films from the blockbuster franchise have suddenly disappeared from Netflix.
The upcoming theatrical release, slated for October 31, combines Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) into a single epic experience.
However, screenshots now circulating on social media show Netflix displaying the message: “Oh no! This title currently isn’t available to watch in your country.”
The disappearance has set off widespread speculation among fans.
While some believe that Netflix’s streaming rights may have expired, others suspect it’s a strategic marketing move to boost anticipation for the upcoming re-release.
The Baahubali franchise, starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, and Ramya Krishnan, remains one of the most celebrated Indian cinematic universes, credited with revolutionizing pan-Indian storytelling.
Whether it’s a licensing issue or a calculated promotional ploy, one thing is certain - Baahubali is once again dominating the conversation, even eight years after it first conquered the box office.
