AP Government's Land To Sirivennela's Family

Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry was a legendary lyricist who made immense contributions to the Telugu film industry.

He wrote songs for hundreds of films, earning him numerous accolades and awards throughout his career.

His sudden demise in November 2021 was a great loss to the industry, and his fans mourned his passing.

Seetarama Sastry passed away while receiving treatment for lung cancer. The Andhra Pradesh government compensated the hospital bill for Rs. 30 lakh at that time.

Recently, the family of Seetarama Sastry was granted land measuring about 500 square yards in Sy.No.138-2, covered by Plot No.1B of Yendada Village of Visakhapatnam Rural Mandal.

This land was given to Smt. Chembolu Padmavathi, wife of (Late) Padmasri Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, on the payment of Rs. 5000/- at the rate of Rs. 10/- per Sq.Yard, as per G.O.Ms.No.571. The land is located adjacent to the Zoological Park.

This gesture by the government is a fitting tribute to Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry's immense contribution to the world of cinema.

It is noteworthy that he is the only film personality to receive such respect from the government of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
