Countdown has begun for the release of “Agnyaathavaasi”. The film is all set to release in record number of screens in all areas.
However, the big question is will Dil Raju recover his investment?
Dil Raju bought the movie’s theatrical rights for Nizam area for a whopping Rs 28.5 Cr (with GST). He needs to get more than Rs 30 plus Cr share to reach the break-even stage.
Given the craze the film has and the popularity of Pawan Kalyan in Nizam area, this amount is easy to recover.
Films like “Baahubali 2” have collected more than Rs 60 Cr in Nizam area. But here is the catch.
“Baahubali 2” was released during summer holidays. On the other hand, “Agnyaathavaasi” is hitting the screens during Sankranthi period.
Traditionally, Hyderabad looks deserted during this festival season as most of the residents go to Andhra to celebrate Sankranthi.
The collections during Sankranthi festival in Hyderabad are low when compared to Andhra and Ceded areas. Hence, it will be tough for Dil Raju to get the amount during Sankranthi even if the film gets extraordinary reports.
However, trade is hoping that he might plan special premiere shows on January 9 to recover some amount.
