Anushka’s ‘Bhaagamathie’ is turning out to be a big hit. The movie has not slowed down in Telugu states.
With Ravi Teja’s “Touch Chesi Chudu” turning out to be a damp squib, the film is likely to have better prospects during this weekend too.
However, the makers have not gained much from the Tamil and Malayalam versions. Though Tamil version did fairly better, the Malayalam version is a huge flop.
“Baahubali” and “Baahubali 2” were two of the top all-time hits in Kerala. Still, Anushka’s “Bhaagamathie” has failed to take big openings in Kerala.
Apart from Anushka, all the important characters in the film were played by Malayalam actors like Unni Mukundan as Anushka’s lover, Jayaram as politician and Asha Sharath as CBI officer.
Despite this Mallu angle, the Kerala audiences didn’t shower much love on “Bhaagamathie”.
On the day “Bhaagamathie” hit the screens, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s son Pranav’s debut film as lead hero “Aadhi” released in large number of screens.
Malayalis were more keen on watching Pranav than our Anushka.
