Last week's releases Chuttalabbayi and Aatadukundam Raa both failed to impress. The former has been doing better compared to the latter, which is an outright disaster.
Chuttalabbayi got decent opening in B and C centers, but couldn't hold its ground due to its dated script and old fashioned direction of Veerabhadram.
Aadi and Sai Kumar gave it their best shot by touring the theaters of Chuttalabbayi in its first week itself. However, the film is too boring to be saved by such tours and promotions.
Aatadukundam Raa is like a knockout punch for Sushanth who has been hanging around in the industry for a while now. Babu Bangaram spiraled down after a decent first week. The film’s collections in second week were not at all encouraging.
It is like a wakeup call for Maruthi who took things for granted after delivering a blockbuster like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. Pelli Choopulu is still minting money across A centers and Srirastu Subhamasthu is slowly but surely heading towards the safe zone.
With no notable releases in this weekend stage is set for Janatha Garage to take the box office by storm.
