Tollywood big movies are minting money thanks to a variety of market options they have these days -- be it from satellite, digital and Hindi market rights.
Among the Tollywood stars, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and Allu Arjun are the most preferred stars in Hindi market. So, the combined price for these rights are huge for these four top stars.
Recently satellite rights of “Agnyaathavaasi” were bagged for a whopping Rs 19 Cr (only Telugu version). The movie’s digital and Hindi rights have fetched another Rs 20 Cr.
Similarly, now Mahesh Babu’s “Bharath Ane Nenu” is said to have gone for Rs 39 Cr for satellite, digital and Hindi rights.
Allu Arjun’s “Naa Peru Surya” brought more than Rs 25 Cr to the producers, even before the movie’s regular shoot began. Such was the craze for Bunny’s movie.
All eyes are now on Prabhas’s next movie “Saaho” which is likely to set an all-time record for a Telugu movie given the craze that Prabhas has post “Baahubali 2”. The production team is expecting a minimum of Rs 70 Cr.
It is interesting to note that Ram Charan and NTR are lagging behind here.
