Top 5: All Eyes on Duvvada Jagannadham

1) Ami Thumi: Ami Thumi had a decent second weekend across the multiplexes, thanks to the ineffective new releases.

This film made on a shoestring budget should be a profit earner for its makers. Credits to Vennela Kishore for lifting the film’s prospects with his comedy.

2) Marakathamani: Aadi Pinisetty’s Marakathamani has been promoted aggressively, but the film suffered due to poor content.

Aadi’s popularity post Sarrainodu didn’t help the film much as it opened on a very dull note.

3) Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam: Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam is still running on shares in all the centers, but has slowed down considerably compared to its previous week’s run.

It is already the biggest solo hit in Chaitanya’s career and is likely to end up collecting around Rs. 27 crore share in its full run.

4) Baahubali 2 –The Conclusion: Rajamouli’s magnum opus is still minting shares in its eighth week.

The film’s daily gross is better than new releases in a few centers. It will make way for DJ that is set to release in around 1000 screens across Telugu states.

5) Kaadali: This low budget romantic comedy made some buzz prior to its release with a grand audio launch, but the film has little to offer to the genre lovers.

Poor script and bad direction didn’t let the film to make a noticeable impact at the ticket window.

All eyes are on this week’s release Duvvada Jagannadham as there are literally no movies in the market to quench the thirst of film lovers. Trade is betting big on DJ to set the cash registers ringing.
