Many aspiring artistes do anchoring before making it big in films. Srinivasa Reddy, Rocket Raghava are just a few names here. But one artiste who has reduced focus on films and is focused on anchoring is Srinivas Avasarala.
After having completed his mechanical engineering, Avasarala went on to act in films such as Ashta Chemma, Saradaga Kaasepu, Pilla Zamindaru, etc. He also directed Oohalu Gusagusalade and acted in it.
Despite acting, writing and directing, the audiences did not appreciate him to the extent he would like and now Avasarala shifted base to small screen and he is anchoring a show titled Champions on ETV which is a quiz show.
He is pretty happy with anchoring and says he will do films depending on the roles offered to him.
However, what many do not know is the fact that Avasarala is very keen on racquet ball and is seriously involved with promoting the sport in our country, which he picked up during his stay in the US. One day, he hopes to hold racquet ball league in India.
Well, film industry is surely having an influx of multi-dimensional and multi-faceted artistes and technicians.
