Salman Khan's Eid gift this year was Tubelight. Produced and acted by him, the film was a disaster as his fans did not like their 'larger than life' hero playing a 'muted' character in the film.
Now according to a little birdie from Bandra, Salman Khan has been advised by a film-maker friend to stick to the commercial genre.
Apparently, he has been told to start shooting for Race 3 next, rather than doing Remo D'Souza's film based on the relationship of a father and daughter.
Race is a hit series and an out-and-out commercial genre film that will put Salman right where he belongs.
The friend apparently also advised Salman that his good Samaritan stuff does not work on screen and that it is best if he kept it to his Being Human Foundation. Salman too is said to have taken his friend's advise seriously.
But it is not just his best pal, but dad Salim Khan who also feels that Salman is best sticking to commercial genre.
In an interview following the release of Tubelight, Salim Khan had said that his son was best suited for commercial roles and that is what his fans want from him.
