Super Film, But No Collections

It's the fate of some films. While the film wins accolades, it barely makes any money. Right now, Garuda Vega is in a similar situation.

The film has good talk, anyone who watched the film cannot find fault. Still two weeks after the film released, the film has managed to make only Rs 7 crore world-wide.

The film was made with a budget of Rs 25 crore. In fact, it is the costliest film in Rajasekhar's career so far. Still, he is unable to make money, leaving aside the accolades.

The film has to make at least Rs 12 crore to make profits and almost immediately, as the film will not be able to make any money if it enters the third week.

So the makers are now concentrating on the sale of digital, satellite and dubbing rights of the film. They are currently holding discussions with both Zee and Gemini channels.

Talks are on for satellite rights with Gemini TV and the producers are likely to lock the price on Rs 5 crore.

Hindi rights have been sold for Rs 5 crore. Now, if they manage to get a good price for digital rights, then the film will be in the safe zone. Else, it will be a case of 'operation success... patient dead' category.
