SS Fetches 50 Lakh But Thikka Sold For Free

Sai Dharam Tej's upcoming Thikka has no takers in overseas market in spite of the hero’s last film being a super hit. Unknown director and the badly cut trailer didn’t create any interest among the overseas buyers. With no one coming forward to buy the rights, the makers have sold the overseas rights for free.

Although Sai Dharam Tej’s previous films Subramanyam For Sale and Supreme fared well, overseas buyers felt its risky to bet on Thikka as it is clashing with Babu Bangaram, which is grabbing eyeballs.

Overseas market is turning out to be highly risky lately as films like Jakkanna and Selfie Raja couldn’t even recover the expenses.

Interestingly Allu Sirish’s Srirasthu Subhamasthu overseas rights fetched fifty lakh for the producer. Geetha Arts banner value and the promising trailer ensured the film a decent offer from the overseas buyer. Therefore it is extremely important for small films to cut an interesting trailer so that it could attract overseas buyers.
