Shatamanam Bhavati completed its first week run on a high note. The film’s distributors are already into profits as it collects more than Rs. 16.5 crore share worldwide in its first week.
The major chunk of its collections came from Nizam and Uttarandhra regions where it was released by Dil Raju through his distribution company.
In Nizam, Shatamanam collected Rs. 4.85 crore and in Vizag it collected Rs. 2.75 crore which is huge given its cast and budget. The film has done tremendously well in these particular territories despite the heavy competition.
Dil Raju holding good number of screens in both the regions might be a reason for SB’s strong show in Nizam and Uttarandhra.
Shatamanam Bhavati performed well in other areas too, but barring East Godavari (1.75 crore), its numbers in other regions are just about decent. In Ceded, for instance, it collected 1.6 crore in one week which is good but not as sensational as its Nizam and UA figures.
Looking at the drastic difference between Dil Raju owned areas and others, a few were wondering if the ace producer is hyping the numbers to make it look like a gigantic success!
