Sankranthi Movies: Overseas Box-office Collections

As expected, NTR's "Nannaku Prematho" has done exceptionally well in its opening weekend setting new records in overseas market.

The film is way ahead than all other Sankranthi releases. At the end of 1st Sunday, the movie has grossed $ 1.6 million dollars and crossed total lifetime run of Mahesh Babu's Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and other big hits.

"Nannaku Prematho" is also biggest hit in NTR's career so far in USA as it has already crossed his other big hits - "Baadshah" and "Temper". Will it also cross $2 Million mark….we have to wait and see.

#NannakuPrematho Premieres $355K, Wed $234K, Thur $130K, Fri $265K, Sat $385K Sun $264K Total $1633K

On the other hand, Nagarjuna's "Soggade Chinni Nayana" has also done great business in its initial weekend as the movie crossed half million dollars mark. This is Nagarjuna's best opening movie after "Manam".

#SoggadeChinniNayana Premieres $51K ,Fri $107K, Sat $197K, Sun $178K Total $533K

Good reviews and word-of-mouth have helped Sharwanand's "Express Raja" getting better collections despite competition from big movies. Considering this is small budgeted movie, the golden touch of UV Creations has worked out.

"Express Raja" has minted nearly 250k dollars in USA alone.

#ExpressRaja Premieres $22K, Thur $24K, Fri $44K, Sat $81K Sun $82K Total $253K

Barring "Legend", Nandamuri Balakrishna's movies never considered as hot property in overseas market as his movies tend to cater to mass audiences. The poor screen count has become negative for the movie. In the initial weekend it has grossed mere 92k dollars.

#Dictator Premieres $52K, Thur $10K, Fri $10K, Sat $12K Sun $9K Total $92K
