Today has to be the most sensational day of our times. We have been seeing big films clash at the box office in order to make the most of festival/holiday advantage. But three films of same range clashing on the same day is something else.
Long weekend attracted many producers as there is no high budget film around. People thought at least one of the movies will be pushed to some other date, but that didn’t happen.
Boyapati Srinu is one of the bigger brands in terms of box office potential. Hence, Jaya Janaki Nayaka did more business than others in spite of a weak hero. No one can look down on the film after looking at Boyapati’s impeccable track record. The film looks like a typical Boyapati film with high dose of action.
Nithin’s previous film A Aa collected close to Rs. 50 crore at the box office. Trivikram may be the major attraction for it, but it did prove that a Nithin starrer can work wonders at the box office. Nithin chose Lie over many other films to follow up A Aa. Hanu Raghavapudi also grabbed eyeballs with his previous film Krishnagadi veera Premagadha.
Rana Daggubati single handedly took care of the promotions of Nene Raju Nene Mantri in multiple languages. The film has turned out to be the talk of the industry with exciting promos and stunning promotions. Rana’s good will and a super sensational theatrical trailer are drawing the attention of public making NRNM a force to be reckoned with.
Who will come ahead in the most interesting fight at the ticket window? Whichever gets good talk will have the greatest advantage of cashing on the long weekend. It will also turn fatal to the film that opens to poor word of mouth.
