Till recently, there was buzz that two Tamil films will be remade in Telugu. One was Bogan and other was Kanithan. Incidentally, both the films were supposed to star Ravi Teja.
For quite a while, it was said that Ravi Teja has given his nod to do the films. But the latest news is that Ravi Teja has let go of both the projects.
Right now, Nikhil is busy with the remake of Kirrack Party. Once the shoot comes to finishing stage, Nikhil will take a call on being a part of the remake of Kanithan.
The film was directed by TN Santosh in Tamil and he will direct the film in Telugu too. Tagore Madhu will be producing the film in Telugu.
While all looks well, there is a hitch in the story. Director VV Vinayak is currently directing a film with Sai Dharam Teja. The film is said to have most of the scenes from Kanithan. If that's the case, another remake will spoil the show.
In the past, Aha Kalyanam and Jabardast faced a similar predicament and both of them lost out at the box-office.
