'Different' director Sukumar is directing Ram Charan in Rangasthalam. The film was supposed to release for Dussera, but given the slow and steady pace of Sukumar, the making was delayed. This resulted in the unit deciding on a January release.
However, once it was announced that Rangasthalam might release for Sankranthi, Pawan Kalyan's team quietly announced that their film will release for Sankranthi.
This meant that either of the films had to adjust dates. So, there was talk that Rangasthalam might release in the last week of December. But now a latest rumour is doing rounds in film industry.
As per latest buzz, the film is now being readied for release on April 20. If the film gets released in December, it will have to compete with some big films within a week. To avoid a clash, the makers have decided to take a long jump to summer.
Of course, while the date needs to be confirmed, there are a variety of reasons for the film's delay. For starters, Sukumar was busy with the making and promotional work of his film Darsakudu.
Once he became free, the film's hero Ram Charan got busy with the work of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy that he is producing for his dad.
And now, Mythri Movies which is producing Rangasthalam has announced Savyasachi with Naga Chaitanya and Chandu Mondeti. Also, it is known that Sukumar takes his time while making a film and delay in schedules was only expected.
While the unit is insisting on December or January release, April 20 date needs to be confirmed.
