After the record-setting Baahubali series, it has been reported that SS Rajamouli will be making the magnum opus Mahabharat.
The dream project will be made with hundreds of crores and will have an envious star cast comprising top actors from all over India.
While there is enough speculation about Rajamouli squeezing in a breezy film in between with two heroes in the lead, the director himself hasn't been talking about the gigantic project.
However, his father and writer Vijayendra Prasad spoke to the media about the film's progress. He revealed that Rajamouli will not take much time in starting off Mahabharat.
"We have already decided on the ideas for Mahabharat and how it will be narrated. In all, it will be made in five parts," he said.
The writer has turned director with Sri Valli and was talking to media prior to the film's release.
Some time back, Rajamouli had said during an interview that Mahabharat will go on to the sets only in 2026.
However, going by what Vijayendra Prasad had said, the movie might start off much earlier. Meanwhile, a Malayalam director has announced Mahabharat with Rs 1000 crore budget. The film has Malayalam superstar Mohanlal playing the lead.
However, Vijayendra Prasad reiterates that his team is least bothered as their 'Mahabharat' will be bigger than Cameron's "Avatar" in terms of graphics and visuals.
