Ram Charan's Rangasthalam 1985 is the first film to reserve berth for Pongal 2018. Mahesh Babu's film with Koratala also is targeting the same release date.
Now as per the latest buzz from film circles, Pawan Kalyan’s untitled film directed by Trivikram is joining Pongal race.
Trivikram planned to release it for Dussera, but the makers have decided to release it for Sankranthi due to the delay in filming.
A film riding on nearly Rs. 120 crore should be released for a big festival or in a holiday season. As the film missed out on Dussera, only Sankranthi is the best time to release it.
Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam will be in a soup with Pawan Kalyan joining Sankranthi race.
Charan can afford to clash with other big stars, but clashing with Power Star will not be welcomed by mega fans.
Makers of Rangasthalam also cannot risk losing the festival advantage. How would Charan and Pawan sort this out so that none of the films get affected?
