Long long ago, when Simhadri released, NTR was in the lead and he was en route to the top position among his contemporaries.
But few wrong career moves took him off the path and he once again had to compete with the likes of Mahesh and Pawan for the top position.
After his grandfather late NTR, Chiranjeevi took over the industry and was at the top for two decades. However, after him, no one Telugu hero could make it to the top slot.
Though Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh took turns to reach the top slot, they could not sustain it for too long. But looks like NTR is headed towards the top slot finally.
He has been carefully picking characters that appeal to both classes and masses in true commercial style.
Already, he was a darling of the masses and now, he has proven he can win over the class audience too. He has also proven his stamina in Nizam area and overseas.
Also, he has proven to be a top star on the telly. His Bigg Boss has received tremendous response and so far he is the only star to have managed such high TRPs on Telugu television.
And now, his film with a flop director like Bobby has done record business. After Jai Lava Kusa, he has films with some big directors and if the film with Rajamouli happens, then there is no way stopping NTR in coming days.
He has also got maximum votes in polls about who might become the next superstar in Telugu. So, in all, looks like NTR could make it to the top slot finally.
