Music Review: DJ Is Full Of Energy

Music Review: DJ Is Full Of Energy

Allu Arjun-Pooja Hegde starrer 'DJ – Duvvada Jagannadham' is an out and out mass entertainer and the album is a reflection of it with four out of five songs targeted at the masses.

Duvvada Jagannadham album opens with the title song that depicts the qualities of its protagonist.

Jonnavittula came up with many heavy Sanskrit words to pen this song, but DSP’s tune and composition made it sound easy on ears.

Besides energetic vocals of Vijay Prakash, dholak beats in the second BGM stands highlight of the song.

Asmaika Yoga Tasmaika Bhoga is a lyrically rich romantic duet penned by Sahithi and beautifully rendered by Chitra and Karthikeyan.

We have already seen one minute video of the song that has gone viral on the internet. It has struck the chord with youngsters as well as matured people and has become an instant chartbuster. It is quite different and unique from regular DSP’s compositions.

Mechuko Mechuko is a usual DSP song with heavy beats and an ordinary tune. Nakash Aziz did a fine job with his singing and so did Srimani on the lyrical front.

It is the weakest song of the album, but it is visually appealing with Allu Arjun’s dances and Pooja’s glamour.

Seeti Maar Seeti Maar is an energetic song that is sure to rock the pubs and parties in the coming days.

Stanzas of the song have uncanny resemblance to DSP’s Jennifer Lopez song from Jalsa. Jasprit Jasz-Rita’s vocals and Balaji’s lyrics are in tune with DSP’s adrenaline pumping music.

The song is an instant chartbuster. Expect some earth shattering dance moves from Allu Arjun for this number.

Boxu Baddalai poye is a typical DSP mass number with foot tapping beats. The tune is insanely catchy and Bhaskarabatla made it even easier with free flowing lyrics full of naughty expressions.

It is yet another chartbuster from DSP and Allu Arjun, the duo that is known for rocking mass numbers.

All in all, DJ audio will be a hit with the masses and youngsters. It is not as classy as Arya (best in Bunny-DSP combo) or as massy as Gabbar Singh (DSP’s previous work with Harish Shankar), but has enough in it to build hype and expectations around the film.

Asmaika Yoga, Boxu Baddalaipoye and Seeti Maar are our picks of the album.
