The most awaited movie of 2018, Shankar's magnum opus 2.0 will not release on Jan 25 as announnced. It is now pushed to April 13 to cash in on Tamil New Year weekend.
With Rajinikanth's film slated for summer release, it is bad news for other big releases that are planned for April and May.
2.0 being pushed to April 13 will disrupt release plans of Bharath Ane Nenu, Naa Peru Surya and Rangasthalam 1985 and many other movies in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
It is however good news for January releases as the biggest threat like 2.0 moving out of competition. We can expect many films to reschedule their dates accordingly.
