Devi Sri Prasad walking out of Gautami Putra Satakarni, which happens to be Balakrishna’s 100th film, is the much talked about topic in Tollywood now.
‘How can Devi walk out of such a prestigious film?’ is the thing that has been surprising everyone. When we tried to dig into the details we have come to know few interesting facts behind this development.
Both Chiranjeevi’s 150 and Balakrishna’s 100 are targeting at Sankranthi release. DSP was assigned the job of scoring music for both these landmark films as he is the leading music director in Tollywood now.
DSP was under tremendous pressure to complete his work for both the films by October. He was okay with Chiranjeevi’s film as it is a regular commercial entertainer, but DSP asked for some more time as scoring music for a periodic film like GPS is a different ball game altogether.
Krish is hell-bent on releasing GPS for Sankranthi and therefore couldn’t afford to give extra time for the music director. DSP is known to work leisurely without taking any pressure. So he decided to leave Gautami Putra Satakarni so that he would have more time to work on Chiranjeevi’s 150th film.
Krish is now looking to sign up either MM Keeravani or Ilaiyaraja for GPS.
