Even Rajnikanth Cannot Beat This

Baahubali: The Conclusion has emerged the highest grosser in Indian cinema history in six days.

It has gone past the Rs. 700 crore mark and all set to become the first ever Rs. 1000 crore grosser in the history of Indian cinema.

With Baahubali 2 exceeding all the expectations, now people are expecting a lot from Rajinikanth’s upcoming science fiction thriller 2.0

Directed by Shankar and being a sequel to super successful Enthiran (Robo), the film is expected to do Baahubali kind of magic at the box office. But can Rajni and Shankar combo pull off a heist like Baahubali at the ticket window?

A lot of factors helped Baahubali 2 to get that pan India appeal. Currently Hindi version is faring better than South Indian versions of Baahubali 2, which is quite surprising.

Despite the presence of a big star like Akshay Kumar, Robo sequel may find it difficult to penetrate into Hindi markets like Baahubali 2.

2.0 may do exceptional business in Tamil and perform up to full potential in other Southern states. But can it match up to Baahubali’s show in North India, where the film is all set to collect more than Rs. 300 crore nett?

Also can it storm the US and overseas box office like Baahubali 2? 2.0 has the potential, but it needs to be extraordinary to put up a Baahubalian show for sure.
