Dil Raju 80 Per Cent Profit, 20 Per Cent Loss

If one were to wonder who the box-office king is in 2017, then comes the name of Dil Raju. He has given five films this year.

He started the year with Satamanam Bhavati and followed it up with Nenu Local, DJ, Fida and lately Raja The Great.

Barring Sai Dharam Teja's Jawan, almost all films got him profits, of course not to mention Satamanam Bhavati and Nenu Local. He also made good money through the sales of DJ.

In fact, Fida ended up being the golden egg. And with Raja The Great, he made enough money through theatre sales and digital rights.

Talk is that Dil Raju made a profit of Rs 80 crores this year. A major chunk of this came from the profits made by Fidaa. After that, Satamanam Bhavathi and Fidaa earned good amount of profits, thanks to the fact that Dil Raju retained the rights of the film in Nizam and Vizag.

Fidaa made Rs 18 crores in Nizam alone. He also made good money through DJ. Adding to that, he made money through satellite rights, digital rights and theatre rights. So, in all, he is said to have made Rs 80 crores in all.

But he lost some money as a distributor through Namo Venkatesaya. And this continued with Spyder. So in all, he lost Rs 30 crores. This means he has balanced the sheet and has profits in his kitty.

Also, he has many good projects in hand. Mahesh Babu - Vamsi Paidypally, Nani - Venu Sriram, Raj Tharun - Aneesh, Nikhil - Chandu Mondeti have been confirmed for now.

But that is not all. There are more films at discussion stage.
