After the much-publicized marriage of Anushka Sharma and Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Sharma's parents barely gave any gifts to their son-in-law, as is the norm in Indian weddings.
But recently, they returned the favour of Virat choosing their daughter as his bride by gifting him a book of poems by debutante author Tejaswini Divya Naik. The book was launched last Saturday at a Bandra bookstore.
Incidentally, Col Sharma is close friends with Tejaswini's father, Col Retd Anurag Naik, a retired army doctor.
The book was unveiled by award-winning lyricist Manoj Muntashir, which happens to be a compilation of love poems.
The duty-bound Col Sharma did not think twice of his newly acquired celebrity status and like any responsible, law-abiding Indian citizen, stood in a queue and got a signed copy for his beloved actress-turned-producer daughter.
Ohhhh, we just cannot stop gushing. Surely stuff that Bollywood love stories are made of!
