BAN Takes Cue From Rangasthalam

Of late, filmmakers are making sure to cut their film’s runtime to maximum of two and half hours. Duration of few films is locked to 130 to 140 minutes, as not to bore audience with lengthy runtime.

However, Rangasthalam makers took a bold decision by finalizing the film’s runtime to 2 hr 55 minutes. Though many criticized for keeping such lengthy runtime, they were proved wrong as the film received enormous reports from audience and critics alike.

Taking cue from Rangasthalam, makers of Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu have locked their film’s duration to 2 hrs 53 mins long.

Apparently, director Koratala Siva feels cutting of any crucial sequences will spoil essence of the film. And when subject is narrated engagingly, length will not be a big problem.

Meanwhile, Bharat Ane Nenu has cleared censor formalities with U/A certificate. No cuts were recommended for the film.

Bharat Ane Nenu has now completed all the formalities and it will now grace the theaters on April 20th.

Let’s hope the lengthy runtime will only have positive effect on the film!
