Once upon a time, there used to be good openings only for star-studded movies. That trend seems to be changing now as young heroes by dint of their hard work and success are getting excellent collections for their movies as well.
Nani’s ‘Nenu Local’ which release in February has emerged as the biggest hit in his career.
Naga Chaitanya who got a breather with ‘Premam’ has witnessed his ‘Rarandoy Veduka Chuddam’ collect Rs 20 crore in the first week of release, the highest openings for any of his film to date.
Raj Tarun who had a decent hit with ‘Kittu Unnadu Jagrattha’ has tasted yet another success with ‘Andhagadu’ which collected Rs 3.75 crore on the first day of release.
And Nikhil’s ‘Keshava’ reported worldwide gross collections of Rs 16 crore in the first week of release.
This is a huge boost to the industry as this means that producers will no longer wait for the star heroes only but come forward to do films with the young heroes as well who are constantly improving their markets.
