Although 'Jawaan' had a decent first weekend, it has an uphill task to recover the production cost since the movie's satellite rights are not yet closed.
Presenter Dil Raju tried hard to sell the movie's satellite rights before the release but the entertainment channels didn't show much interest as rumours about its reshoot appeared in websites.
To create hype around the film, Dil Raju even held a premiere show at Sri Ramulu theatre hoping that the critics would create buzz on social media like they did for 'Arjun Reddy'.
However, the film didn't impress the critics and the bad sound quality at Sri Ramulu Theater, where the premiere show was held, annoyed everyone. The ratings after the release were pretty average.
Since the film has not set collections on fire, the general entertainment channels will not come forward to buy the movie's rights for heavy price. They may buy but for a moderate rate. Dil Raju's bargaining tactics have failed this time.
On theatrical front, the movie has to recover another Rs 10 Cr to reach to break-even stage.
