Producers To Take Action Against Sreenu Vaitla

Mister multiplied the miseries of star director Sreenu Vaitla as his career hit a roadblock with hat-trick of disasters. Producers Nallamalupu Bujji and Madhu trusted Sreenu Vaitla’s capabilities although his last two films ended up as duds.

Sreenu Vaitla promised to finish Mister under Rs. 15 crore sans his remuneration. As per deal, Vaitla got the distribution rights of couple of areas in Andhra as his remuneration. However, the budget shot up well over expectations and nearly Rs. 30 crore were spent on it!

Nagababu expressed his concerns over second half right from the day he heard the script, but Sreenu Vaitla convinced the makers that he can pull it off.

A lot of last minute changes were made to the script on the sets and the director kept on including scenes like ‘Bapuji village’ for the sake of entertainment. He also shot an extra song that cost Rs. 80 lakh for its producers.

None of the repair works and last minute inclusions changed the fate of the film as it was unanimously rejected by all sections of audience.

Now the producers are planning to take action against Sreenu Vaitla for not completing the movie under given budget.

Looks like Sreenu Vaitla has to pay from his own pockets to settle the issue as he couldn’t recover much from the distribution areas that were held by him.
