In the film industry, a director who delivers a flop is often looked down upon. If it is a big-budget disaster, the situation becomes even worse. A similar situation has now happened with one director.
With a lot of hopes and calculations, the director approached a young hero with a story. But after listening only halfway, the hero simply said, “Let’s catch up later, boss,” and sent him off. The director was left confused about what to do next.
There has been talk for nearly three years that this director would work with this young hero. However, the director got stuck with a big project for some time and later explored other options, which delayed things further. The hero, meanwhile, waited to see where things would go.
The hero was confident that the director would eventually come back to him. As expected, they finally met. The director tried to narrate the same story again, this time in more detail. But the hero was not interested at all, mainly because the director’s last film was a flop.
Instead of directly rejecting the project, the hero politely shook hands and said, “Let’s meet again, boss,” and sent him away. By then, the director understood that the project was unlikely to happen.
Now, the director has only two options—either go back with a new story and try to impress the same hero or look for another actor with the current script.
On the other hand, the hero seems to be enjoying the moment. After waiting for years, he now feels a certain satisfaction in turning down the director.
Interestingly, the hero himself hasn’t delivered any major hits recently—that’s the irony.
