People Media to Lose 30 Cr on Adipurush

In the first three days, "Adipurush" made a significant amount of money in both the North Indian and Telugu markets.

However, the film's box office performance took a hit on Monday due to controversies and anger from certain groups.

Many individuals have claimed that the makers distorted the Ramayana and that it lacks any devotional emotion.

These remarks have had a negative impact on the film's ongoing success, as it has struggled to generate positive figures in the past two days.

According to trade analysts, the film will not see significant benefits moving forward. Whatever earnings the film manages to accumulate in the coming days will not improve its overall status.

People Media Factory, a film production company, acquired the theater rights of "Adipurush" for Nizam and Andhra Pradesh for a payment of Rs 150 crore. Out of this amount, thirty crore is recoverable.

To break even, the film needs to collect Rs 120 crore in distributor share. Currently, it has accumulated a distributor share of Rs 73 crore.

Even if the film manages to earn an additional 10 to 15 crore, People Media Factory will still face a loss of over Rs 30 crore.

The acquisition of rights was primarily motivated by People Media Factory's association with Prabhas and their plans to collaborate on two more films with him.
