Mythri Scraps Ravi Teja's Movie?

The debacle of Naga Chaitanya’s “Savyasachi” has brought many changes in the plans of the leading production house Mythri Movie Makers. This is first flop for the banner that gave hattrick of blockbusters – “Srimanthudu”, “Janatha Garage” and “Rangasthalam”.

Mythri is awaiting the release of Ravi Teja and Sreenu Vaitla’s “Amar Akbar Anthony” that is set for November 16 release.

The banner has now decided not to support films that have no solid scripts. After the flop of “Savyasachi”, the banner has finally scrapped the remake of Vijay's “Theri/Police" in Telugu, a source informed GreatAndhra.

The production house bought the Tamil movie rights long back to produce it with Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. They assigned the job to flop director Santosh Srinivas (of "Rabhasa" and "Hyper") to remake it.

However, Pawan Kalyan bid good-bye to movies to be active as full-time politician. Pawan Kalyan will be contesting for the forthcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly and he is now busy strengthening his Jana Sena party.

After Pawan becoming busy as a politician, the production house has convinced Ravi Teja to do the remake. They were planning to launch it in December this year, but now the movie has been scrapped, a source informed us.

At present, Santosh Srinivas is going to Mythri office daily and having breakfast and lunch and heading to home in the night. There is no work for him. No other actor is willing to work with this director at this moment.
