Not long ago, Pushpa 2 producer Ravi Kumar openly criticized Devi Sri Prasad for working at a sluggish pace and causing delays in post-production.
The music director swiftly responded on stage, insisting that he had never lacked commitment in completing the background score.
However, the reality was somewhat different.
DSP’s preference for music concerts forced the production team to bring in Kannada music directors Ajaneesh Loknath and Sam CS to complete parts of the score. Both composers were duly credited in the film.
Now, it appears that Anirudh Ravichander is following a similar path.
Known for elevating films to blockbuster status with his electrifying background scores, Anirudh’s work is so in demand that producers have often delayed releases to accommodate his schedule.
Vikram and Jailer are prime examples, where his background score played a key role in their massive success.
However, in recent times, Anirudh too has been prioritizing live concerts over film commitments, leading to significant delays in post-production.
The latest casualty is Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, which has been postponed yet again — this time because Anirudh has not completed the background score.
