Kabali, Third Flop In A Row for Rajinikanth

Kabali, Third Flop In A Row for Rajinikanth

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali which has set a record for dubbed films with splendid day 1 performance has drastically fallen after its first weekend.

After collecting over 9 crore share on its first day, Kabali was only able to add another 10 crore to its tally by the end of its first week run.

Collections on week days make it clear that the film has been turned down by the audience. Kabali Telugu version’s theatrical rights were bought for 30 crore and the trade estimates that it will end up below 22 crore in its entire theatrical run.

Kabali is third flop in a row for South Indian superstar in Telugu. His last two films Vikrama Simha and Lingaa were disasters too. Kabali collected 7.6 crore in Nizam in its first week. In Ceded it collected 3.3 crore and in Andhra it collected just over 8 crore.

Going by the disastrous collections on Tuesday and Thursday, it will be extremely tough for Kabali to breakeven. With the alarming drop in collections, buyers are not even hoping that the film would pick up during this weekend.
