Pro Telugu Org's year long hard work reaped fruits and its wish fulfilled when Dr. Chiranjeevi on 17th August 2008, announced the news of his political entry. Pro Telugu Org. over the past one year has organized several events and activities throughout USA, UK Canada and Australia and other places with Intellectuals meets collecting suggestions and comments, Organizing SPARC meets with live Video and Audio Teleconferences from India. Apart from these activities Pro Telugu Org. conducted two mega events "Maha-Yatra I and II" in form of Padh-yatra cum Rath-yatra rally covering entire state of Andhra Pradesh spreading the message of "Change and Hope" and requesting Chiranjeevi to enter into politics. Several phone calls and emails poured in commending the effort of Pro Telugu Org. in achieving this success as the news broke out following the yesterday's press meet.
The target of ten thousand petitions received online inviting Chiranjeevi into politics were already submitted to Chiranjeevi, by Pro Telugu Org. President Ram Tatineni last month. He thanked all those NRIs, well wishers, friends and fans who supported the cause. He also thanked the coordinators, representatives who helped in Maha Yatra's success in Andhra Pradesh. He told that that a special thank you emails will be sent out to all registered online and cooperated in this movement for "Change and Hope". He took this opportunity to thank Dr. Mitra, Dr. A.P Vittal, Dr. K. Nageswar and Mega Brother Nagendra Babu and others who have coordinated and supported Pro Telugu Org. in delivering live videos speeches and addressing the overseas gathering live.
With the scenario is now clear and evident that Dr. Chiranjeevi has announced his entry into politics, Pro Telugu Org. is planning to set up an Audio-Visual Vans for promoting and campaigning Chiru's policies and political agenda to the public. Pro Telugu Org. Vice-President (Media and Public Relations) told that, "These vans would be going around campaigning in various towns, cities and villages in Andhra Pradesh, until the forth coming elections, to promote the message of Chiranjeevi". In another statement from Regional Vice-President Suresh Somisetty told that Pro Telugu Org. is intensifying its activities in USA, UK and India in the days to come to promote Chiranjeevi's message and polity.
Within minutes after the Chiranjeevi's announcement on 17th August 2008, Pro Telugu Org. Executive Committee members Siddarth Anneboyina, Kiran Madari, Praveen, Bindu Madhav, Dushyant Jyothi and several other representatives and NRIs from various countries expressed their happiness and celebrated the news.
