Actors Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja on August 28, the second day of Ganeshotsav, to seek blessings ahead of their film Param Sundari’s release.
Despite heavy security, the stars were mobbed by a massive crowd of devotees as they entered the pandal.
Videos from the visit, widely shared online, show the actors struggling to make their way through.
In one clip, Janhvi appeared visibly uneasy as she was surrounded by people trying to reach the shrine. Sidharth, too, had to be escorted by security personnel amid the chaos.
Director Tushar Jalota accompanied the actors during the visit, and the trio was later seen leaving after offering prayers.
Crowd management remains a challenge at Lalbaugcha Raja, which attracts lakhs of visitors each year during Ganeshotsav.
Param Sundari, directed by Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan, is a cross-cultural love story featuring Sidharth as Param, a cheerful North Indian, and Janhvi as Sundari, a South Indian beauty.
The film, releasing on August 29, has already generated buzz with its trailer and songs.
