Ashish Vidyarthi, who has acted in hundreds of films across all major Indian languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, once struggled to make ends meet.
A recall of th epast incident by him suggest that he was completely penniless and even found it difficult to pay his house rent on time.
He won the National Award for his role in Droh Kaal in 1995, and struggled to host a party that was demanded by his industry friends.
Vidyarthi shared that his friends asked him to throw a party at Mainland China, a restaurant he had only seen from outside and never dined at before.
When he eventually hosted the party at a spot, he noted that even teetotalers were drinking that night, and vegetarians were demanding non vegetarian food.
To avoid adding to the bill, he himself only took a glass of water with a slice of lemon instead of adding vodka.
When he expressed his anxiety about paying the bill, it was reportedly director Govind Nihalani who stepped in and paid the full amount, for which Vidyarthi expressed his gratitude.
Currently, Vidyarthi is an affluent actor who is also active as a food vlogger and also works as a motivational speaker earning in different forms.
He was also re married recently in 2023 to Rupali Barua.
