NATA Convention preparations big time underway!

North American Telugu Association’s (NATA) preparations for the upcoming convention on June 30th, July 1st and July 2nd, 2023 in Dallas are happening in a steadfast manner. NATA has been involved in promoting community services, cultural and social activities, student assistance, and preservation and promotion of Telugu language and heritage in the United States, and across the globe.

NATA’s mission is to assist and promote literary, cultural, educational, social, economic, health and community activities of people of Telugu origin. Biennially NATA conducts the largest celebrations that brings all the Telugu people in the United States. Like each time, over 12,000 people are expected to attend the Dallas Convention this year and the preparations are well underway.

Marking Mother’s Day often considered the most important modern day celebrations NATA Women’s chair Swathy Sanapureddy chaired and oversaw the celebrations in a grandeur manner and leading up to the event were Rangoli contests.

The event was graced by chief guests including Vicki Moss 3rd Degree Connection, Director of Community & Industry Services, Kenya Mobley Entrepreneur and Dr. Nisha Unni, Hematologist & Oncologist.

The speakers went on to explain how a Mother handles multiple a day yet ensuring the family is given equal importance. NATA President Dr. Sridhar Korsapati, NATA Convener NMS Reddy, Coordinator Dr. Rami Reddy Buchipudi, Co-Convener Krishna Koduru, Co-coordinator Bhaskar Gandikota, Deputy Convener Raman Reddy Kristapati, Cultural lead chair Dr. Darga Nagireddy, Sports chair Chinasatyam Veernapu, NATA Dallas RVP Madhumathi Vyasaraju, Decoration chair Anuradha Mekala, Venue chair Veera Reddy Vemula, Transportation chair Rajendra Polu, Web Chair Chenna Korvi among others.

The team that supported the event were NATA Convention Women’s chair Swathy Sanapureddy, Advisors Usha Chinta, Krishnaveni Seelam, Co-Chairs and Members Lakshmi Paleti, Anu Benakatti, Kavitha Koti, Gayatri Gouni, Sajitha Thirumalasetty, Swarna Atluri, Sandhya Kraleti, Lakshmi Kommuri, Prashanthi Chinta among others.

In other developments the sports committee spearheaded and organized several sporting events under the leadership of Chinasatyam Veernapu. Events included Golf, Table-Tennis, Badminton, Chess and other events in pipeline such as Tennis and Volleyball.

Chinasatyam Veernapu pointed out there is a lot of zeal for fitness and healthy lifestyle and sport from many people in Dallas. There were over 200 teams and members thus far for all the sports events organized and he stated it has certainly raised NATA’s bar high in the DFW metroplex.

While the National Convention Committee has been working hard to ensure the convention is a BIG success. Some of the prominent personalities confirmed to be attending the prestigious event are TTD Chairman Y.V Subba Reddy, Ram Gopal Varma, Devisri Prasad, S.S. Thaman, Anup Rubens and the list is growing each day. An estimated over 12,000 people are expected to attend the event.
