KTR tweets to counter BRS-BJP nexus talk

Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s letter to her father and party president K Chandraskhar Rao questioning the soft approach of the party towards Bharatiya Janata Party has triggered a big debate in the political circles.

In her letter, Kavitha categorically found fault with KCR for not speaking much against BJP in his speech at the April 27 meeting in Warangal and the party not fielding its candidate in the MLC elections against the BJP.

She pointed out that the party cadre is openly discussing the possibility of a BRS-BJP alliance in future.

Thought the BJP vehemently condemned any such possibility, there is absolute silence from the BRS and it did not deny the talk that the BRS might have an alliance with the BJP, leading to further speculations in the media.

Even at the press conference a couple of days ago, KTR did not utter a word about Kavitha’s allegations about the party’s stand towards the BJP, though KTR generally doesn’t spare the BJP in its criticism.

On Monday, KTR sought to counter the talk about a possible BRS-BJP nexus by posting a tweet on his social media handle, criticising the failure of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for the poor quality of construction of new railway stations and airports.

“Be it the 430 crore Cherlapally Railway Station in Hyderabad or the roofs at the Delhi Airport, all it takes is a simple rain to expose the BJP mark ‘development’ Isn’t this the same roof that collapsed last year in Delhi?” he asked on X.

He added: “And it took only one shower to bring it all down? It is a pity that they can’t even build a roof properly but want to comment on Kaleshwaram I wonder which agency will look at the amazing new model of shapeshifter roofs introduced by the BJP?!”
