Fact Sheet: A Wrong Role Model!

Fact Sheet: A Wrong Role Model!

One fails to understand the outpouring of sympathy for the deceased Rohit Vemula. Yes, the young man committed suicide but the reasons are unclear. Besides, why is he being projected as some sort of a hero?

Have people forgotten the fact that he along with his mates carried out a rally on the University campus in support of terrorist Yakub Memon? And only stupid people will still fall into the ploy of the likes of Kejriwal.

Rohit’s father has said that he belongs to a BC community and is not a Dalit. His mother however claims to be a Dalit.

In India, the child inherits the caste of the father. Students from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Calicut and Allahabad joined the protests at the UoH.

Local students from Osmania University, English and Foreign Language University, Potti Sriramulu University, Tata Institute of Social Sciences among many others also joined the agitation.

Students sang songs, painted their faces, wore T-shirts and face masks of Rohit Vemula, whose suicide last week sparked off huge unrest across the country.

A street play depicting the lives of Dalit students in universities was also performed. Just because you are allegedly being subjected to discrimination does not mean you carry out rallies in support of Pakistan terrorists. If so-called discrimination is met with anti-nationalism, then the allegation will become a reality.
