A recent GreatAndhra interview with Shirish, brother of producer Dil Raju, upset Ram Charan fans.
In his first-ever media interaction, Shirish expressed disappointment that Charan didn’t reach out after Game Changer didn’t do well. This led to backlash from fans, who felt Shirish unfairly criticized their favorite star.
They also released a strong warning letter. Probably fearing that anger may sabotage the upcming film 'Thammudu', to calm the situation, Dil Raju explained the misunderstanding.
He said the interviewer asked questions in a tricky way, which made Shirish speak emotionally.
He admitted Shirish’s words weren’t right but insisted there was no bad intention toward Ram Charan or his fans.
Dil Raju further praised Charan’s support during Game Changer, saying the actor stood by the film and gave extra time. He also thanked Chiranjeevi for supporting the release during Sankranthi.
Dil Raju added that they have a strong bond with Charan and that another film with him is in the works.
Even Shirish released a public note stating apology for his words and also mentioning that 'Global Star' Ram Charan has spent his full time and support for Game Changer.
"We fans are basically emotional. We tend to react strongly to anyone who criticizes the character of our favorite hero. No matter the explanation, we fans usually don't let things go easily — at least not until the next film with Ram Charan is officially announced under Dil Raju's banner. Though there wouldn't be any issue right now, we, the fans keep this in mind", wrote a Ram Charan fan in a post.
