Andhra Pradesh is not Sonia Gandhi's father's property to give it away to any one as her birthday present. What a joke? This can only happen in India. The state belongs to all people of Andhra Pradesh and it is their sweat and blood that have gone into its development and of course some visionary leaders were behind this progress during the last 56 years or so. Today, some Self-centered, self-serving politicians with vested interests have totally misled Ms. Sonia Gandhi all along this crisis, indeed, ever since YSR has passed away. People's welfare and wellbeing are the least priorities for these self serving politicians. They are using and provocating innocent students in this travesty. First of all who is she to divide a progressive State like Andhra Pradesh? In what capacity, is she doing this? There are major party presidents in other countries like US, UK and all, but they don't make such major decisions without consulting all parties involved unlike the unilateral decision that she has taken. First of all, these party presidents don’t have the power to make such decisions and they are not the law makers. The Presidents, Priministers and elected representatives are the law makers and not the party presidents.
The word "High Command" that we use in India is an insult to democracy. According to some cronies, who keep licking her feet, say that party high command is the ultimate authority. If so, why do we need people to elect MLAs and MPs. Why cannot she just appoint them? We are directly insulting the electorates with this kind of unauthorized and illegal assumption of power. If the party high command is the ultimate authority, why do we need elections? Precisely, this is the reason why, so called, Jateeya parties like Congress and BJP are in trouble and local parties have evolved into much more organized and powerful. As a result, we will never progress as a developed country and we saw that truth in recent deliberations on nuclear treaty with USA. We witnessed how small parties like CPM, CPI were dictating terms to major parties. Unfortunately it is a myth that we want to call ourselves a developed country, when we have millions of people who are deprived of the citizen’s basic rights. People are going to teach these self-serving rogues a lesion sooner or later.
The state that has given the Congress party the majority is the victim of some of the stupid decisions that have been made in the last 3 months or so and they are just destroying the people and the state systematically. With the prevailing conditions, who is going to come to Hyderabad to invest and I am sure that even the existing companies start packing their business, if they are not already doing it. Sonia Ji, please keep your EGO aside and save the State. If only you had exercised a bit more patience, KCR would not have gone anywhere with his gimmicks. Everyone in the State knows that simple truth. Every once in a while an unemployed, voted out-politician starts something like this and we people pay the price. If you can make decisions like this without expecting serious consequences, how can we be safe in your hands when we face much tougher problems in dealing with terrorism, issues with neighboring countries, etc? We were told that the decision to divide AP was based on the larger interest of the nation. What a joke? People deserve an explanation as to what is that larger national interest? And I am sure that they would like to know the truth before they are subjected to this “uncalled for” 54 years marriage divorce. We are creating a similar dangerous hatred situation among people that had resulted between Muslims and Hindus when Pakistan was separated from India in 1947.
Unfortunately it is the slave mentality of our thinking that foreign rulers have taken advantage off. Indian History is replete with so many examples, and that is why foreigners were able to control and rule us for several centuries at a time. One need to ask a simple question and that is "Are Telangana people better off today than 50 years ago”. If there is referendum on this question, I know what the answer will be from a majority of these people. Why talk about backwardness of Telangana, Rayalaseema is much more backward and they have sacrificed a lot for the sake of combined state. Yet, they have never asked for a separate state in the last 50 years. That is because; we had true leaders in Rayalseema who have led the region from front without provocating them. If you put Telangana into the hands of these crony condescending politicians, Telangana people would go back to serving these Patels once again like they used to do before 1956 merger. This is a travesty. These fellows (KCR, KK, DS, GH, Madhu Yakshi and others), who are behind this entire conspiracy and who are misleading Ms. Sonia Gandhi, cannot even get elected by themselves. People have rejected them. KCR could not even contest in recent elections, with his party’s main manifesto being “Separate Telangana”. Telangana people rejected these politicians, because they don't trust them. I am not sure how Sonia Ji has fallen into their evil plots. We sincerely hope that Ms. Sonia Gandhi realizes the gravity of the situation and hopefully does the right thing at the end.
I am wondering as to how she has made this hasty decision. One of the suspicions is that while there was an overwhelming support for YS Jagan when his father died for passing on the mantle to him, the self-serving politicians convinced Sonia Ji that she was able to overcome the opposition without much fallout then and she can do it now. At least that what they thought, but truth is for from this simple analysis. If only they had made a right decision at the time of YSR’s death, we will not be in this mess. However, these same people, who plotted that anti Jagan rally, have probably assured her that there will not be any opposition to her decision on Telangana separation and she fell for it. That is why we are in such a sorry mess. That is where she has totally gone wrong. The two issues are totally different and people are not going to be silent observers anymore in this case. God save the people of Andhra Pradesh and let commonsense prevail in our leader’s heads.
