Netizens Troll Naidu Over Media Remarks

Netizens Troll Naidu Over Media Remarks

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s comment that “TDP, Jana Sena or BJP don’t own newspapers or TV channels, only YSRCP does” has sparked a flood of reactions online.

Social media users were quick to counter. One user quipped, “What about ABN, TV5, or Mahaa? Aren’t they unofficially TDP’s megaphones?”

Another posted, “Andhra Jyothi and Eenadu have been pro-TDP papers for decades. How can Naidu say they don’t have media?”

TDP critics argue that while these outlets strongly support the TDP, they are not legally owned by Naidu or his family.

A post went viral stating, “Technically, CBN is right. But practically, everyone knows which side these channels stand on.”

Netizens also recalled that TV5’s B.R. Naidu was rewarded with the TTD chairman post, “Isn’t that proof of loyalty?” one asked.

Still, legally speaking, Chandrababu’s statement holds water, as ownership is different from editorial bias.

On the flip side, YSRCP’s Sakshi newspaper and channel are openly owned by the party chief himself, making the contrast stark.

Observers point out, “Naidu encouraged loyal allies to set up media, YSRCP never did.”

Thus, while trolls mocked his words, many admitted that technically, Chandrababu wasn’t wrong, though morally he wasn't right in saying this.
