Has YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy changed his strategy in media management?
The answer seems to be yes, if one were to go by the way Jagan is coming out before the people using the media.
His live interactions with the non-resident Indians through Sakshi explaining about the need for special category status to Andhra Pradesh and attacking the Chandrababu Naidu government for surrendering to the Narendra Modi government shows his changed tactics in the media management.
In the past, Jagan never used to interact with the media and give interviews. He used to consider himself as media baron and look down upon the other media. This had been taken advantage by the Telugu Desam Party which is an expert in using the media for gaining political mileage.
Now, Jagan seems to have learnt a lesson. At present, he is making use of only Sakshi to reach out to the people.
In the coming days, he will aggressively approach the other media houses too to put forth his point. He is now said to be planning to take the help of national media to promote himself. It remains to be seen whether this changed strategy will help Jagan.
