Red bus, the common man’s transport, is used by people to commute between villages and from villages to cities.
One need not mention that the red buses are run by RTC, which is running on losses for the past few years.
When there is an agitation or people take to streets, they start by damaging the buses and it is these red buses that have to bear the brunt of their ire. And instead of trying to help the organization, the AP government is more interested in buying air buses.
Already, it has announced plans that 14 airports will be developed all over AP. Though it is not taking any constructive measures to help RTC, they have drastically cut down VAT on air fuel in order to lure the companies that are into building airports.
On the other hand, RTC has been requesting the government to cut down taxes on diesel. But nothing has been done till now. If they look into the matter, then the common man’s ride will be within their reach. Are you listening Mr Babu?
