Will Spyder Create Premiere Records?

Ever since Baahubali series set new records, films are trying their best to beat or at least equal the film's records.

Right now, one of the biggest films all set to hit the screens  is Mahesh Babu's "Spyder".

The film is being directed by AR Murugadoss who has much regard in south Indian film industry. So, Mahesh Babu is hoping to set new records with "Spyder" in overseas market as it is releasing in Telugu and Tamil languages in massive number of screens (800 screens are likely to be allotted).

S S Rajamouli's mega epic movie 'Baahubali 2' holds all-time record among Indian movies in the collection of premiere shows in the North American market.

Mahesh Babu is hoping that 'Spyder' sets second highest record after 'Baahubali 2'. He is confident that the film will rake in $1.5 million on the premiere day and about $4 million by the end of first weekend.

This is indeed a huge target but Mahesh believes that the large number of screens and Murugadoss' brand name will help in achieving it.

USA distributor bought the film for a huge amount and the movie needs to collect nearly $4.5 million to break-even.

Mahesh Babu has great track record in USA. He is the first south Indian star to create $1 million club. Also his "Srimanthudu" holds the record of being the third highest grossing Telugu movie in North America.

With his last movie "Brahmotsavam" tanking in a big way, Mahesh Babu is also under pressure to deliver a big hit this time.
