Top 5: Paisa Vasool Hits The Downslide

1) Paisa Vasool: The film that started on a decent note on its first day didn’t take much time to slip at the box office.

Paisa Vasool’s collections dropped on its day 2 and didn’t pick up on Sunday too. Paisa Vasool’s first Sunday collections are fewer than its Saturday collections, which is a very bad sign.

Despite creating good buzz with the promos and publicity, the film lost steam because of poor word of mouth.

Like all Puri’s recent films Paisa Vasool lacked enough content to hold the audiences interest. It is heading for a flop going by the collection trends.

2) Arjun Reddy: Thanks to disappointing Paisa Vasool, last week’s release Arjun Reddy held well for another weekend.

The film has gone past Rs. 20 crore mark (distributor share) and is set for adding more in the coming days. It is already one of the biggest blockbusters of the year in terms of ROI.

Arjun Reddy had upper hand over Paisa Vasool in overseas market.

3) VIP 2: Dhanush’s VIP 2 is faring better compared to Ajith Kumar’s Vivekam. However, it didn’t live up to the buzz that was surrounding it prior to its release.

Dhanush couldn’t pen a proper sequel to Raghuvaran B.Tech that was a cult hit with the youth.

4) Anando Brahma: The super hit horror comedy has been performing well in A centers. The film is doing particularly well in the weekends.

The makers made very good profits from the digital and satellite rights sales.

5) Fidaa: This year’s biggest blockbuster in terms of return on investment is still running on shares in its seventh week.

Fidaa had a very good Sunday despite many new releases. It is going to complete fifty days run on this Friday in good number of screens across Telugu states.
